This book was first published in 1875 by Mary Baker Eddy. It contains the full statement of Christian Science. Mrs. Eddy states:
"A Christian Scientist requires my work SCIENCE AND HEALTH for his textbook, and so do all his students and patients. Why? First: Because it is the voice of Truth to this age, and contains the full statement of Christian Science, or the Science of healing through Mind. Second: Because it was the first book known containing a thorough statement of Christian Science." S&H 456:25-32.
And
"Christian Science, resting on divine Principle, not on material personalities, in its revelation of immortality, introduces the harmony of being." S&H 79:14.
Some of the chapters in this book are Prayer, Marriage, Atonement and Eucharist, Science of Being, Christian Science Practice, and a Section on Key to the Scriptures. This book is a useful text for everyone interested in improving their knowledge of God and how to apply this to harmonize and heal every day living. Its teachings are applicable to all people in all situations. It does not require membership in a Christian Science church to apply its principles. In fact the last 100 pages of this book are testimonies of healings by persons who did nothing more than to read this book. For more information about Christian Science: more ...
